State Wildlife Action Plans (SWAPs) are congressionally-mandated strategic plans to help conserve Species of Greatest Conservation Need and their habitats.
SWAPs identify at-risk species, the threats they face, and conservation actions needed. They're crucial for prioritizing conservation efforts and securing funding through programs such as State Wildlife Grants.
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has completed a comprehensive revision to the State Wildlife Action Plan, now available as an interactive, web-based platform.
